mutual-aid network
that creates more connected communities.
Fuerza De Amor exists to empower youth leaders to create more resilience within marginalized communities through cultivating deeper connections and establishing systems of support.
We are rooted in the community of San Juan in the Arenal region of Costa Rica and are prototyping a replicable model that can serve communities globally.
We facilitate deeper connection through acts
of solidarity, reciprocity and service.
How we Serve our Community
After years of cultivating relationships, establishing trust and being in a practice of deep listening, these are the ways in which we serve our local ecosystem.
The most resilient systems have the deepest connections.
Nature organizes in a way that ensures everything thrives.
She is collaborative and resilient because of all the diverse connections between different species that each hold different functions, all in support and service to the health of the whole ecosystem.
Fuerza De Amor is inspired by the wisdom of Nature.
Our Approach
Embedding and Enriching
Rather than replicating systems of extraction, we embed ourselves and enrich our ecosystem by showing up in service and solidarity.
Listening and Learning
Embedded in the local community we start by listening, observing, building trust, cultivating relationships and asking questions. From this place of connection, we begin to uncover what the needs are of the community.
Empowering the Re-Generation
Our children are inheriting a planet that is facing climate collapse, species extinction, and the dismantling of systems among other factors that will make their future uncertain. We listen to the dreams of the youth to create more resiliency in their community. We then empower them as leaders and support their visions to become a reality.
Creating a Replicable Model
Fuerza de Amor is prototyping the resilience network model in the community of San Juan de Peñas Blancas in Costa Rica. This model can be replicated and adapted. The principles and offerings of Fuerza de Amor can be localized for different geographies, circumstances and cultural contexts. We offer counsel and support to other communities who want to start similar initiatives.
